BOOK REVIEW DISCLAIMER
The reviews made here are my personal opinion. I’m not being paid to review any of these books. I am by no means a professional book reviewer or editor nor a children’s story book expert. The only qualifications I have is eight years of reading children’s books to my kids. Over the eight years, I have read enough books to get a good idea what my kids like and which books I enjoy reading several times. I read at least one book to them almost every night. We usually average three books. The books I review are either books we own or we have checked out at the library. The books I will be reviewing are for children ages 2 to 8 years old. I have no review criteria other than to ask, “Is this a good story that is easy to read, easy for my kids to follow with good illustrations that my kids ask to read more than once?”
Also, I’m not an English major, scholar or expert. Please do not judge my reviews based on my writing ability. I’m not writing to impress anyone. Please excuse any typos or any grammatical errors.
So why am I reviewing and sharing my opinions? Just for fun. If you have little children and what to know what books might be fun to read to them, my unbiased opinion might provide some insight. Many times my wife and/or kids have check out or bought a book only to read it once and wonder how that story ever got published. I’d like to share with the readers what I think is a good, fun, cleaver, well illustrated book that children might enjoy reading several times. These book are worth checking out at the library or purchasing for your children.
I will not be providing any negative reviews. There are a lot of dull, boring and lifeless books out there, kinda like this disclaimer, but I will not review those.
SIDE NOTE: If you are not reading to your kids, you should. Get a library card. It’s free. Check out some books or let your kids check out the books and read to them for 15 - 20 minutes each night or any time. It will encourage them to want to read, help them to be a better reader and it’s also some quality time for you to spend with your children.
